Jesus only did what he saw the Father doing. That was his life. That was his example.
So often we get caught up in the desires of the world that we search out areas that the Father not a part of and start ministering there.
I will give you my advice on the matter of starting a Sunday night meeting: Only keep your eyes on the Father and listen to Him alone and not the council of the “majority”. Do this through much prayer, meditation and the advice of those that have walked before you. Be open to changes that were not in your plan. If the Father is part of it he will do as He pleases not do as you please. Above all else, walk in love and know that you are of great value to Him. If you understand this fully, the love that is inside you will spill out and will never be contained no matter what you are a part of. It is always about Jesus.
Exposing Myself on a Regular Basis
“All this is flashy rhetoric about loving you. I never had a selfless thought since I was born. I am mercenary and self-seeking through and through: I want God, you, all friends, merely to serve my turn. Peace, re-assurance, pleasure, are the goals I seek, I cannot crawl one inch outside my proper skin: I talk of love -a scholar's parrot may talk Greek- But, self-imprisoned, always end where I begin." - C S Lewis
