So here it is…

My rant. Do with it what you will.

The state of Apex as I see it.
First off, I love you all dearly. Through your generous love I have learned to live a new life in my Father. Your consistent adoration to our Father is overwhelming at times. So much so that at times I can not continue singing but sit back and watch his children show their love for their Father. It truly is a beautiful thing to gaze at.

With my family leaving Vegas soon I am forced to mostly observe the actions of my church. I know that Apex seems to morph into something different every two months or so however, the leadership rolls are drastically changing which puts most of the responsibility in your laps from now on. What are you going to do about this? I am hearing some good things that are coming out of the tyrinest group but will it last? Will those people that desire deep community actually do something about it - and more importantly do it without Greg or Jeremy’s “help”. Help from them usually becomes their headache alone. I heard complaints when Apex started once a month gatherings that you need more than that. Well then why haven’t you done anything about it? Don’t you see that you are all leaders through Christ? Don’t you see the life the Father has given you? How can you sit on your hands and only let the Carders plan events for you to attend? Where are the meetings at the parks that everyone spoke of? Do you need a committee to teach children? For that matter, do you need a committee at all? If the Father whispers an idea or a need why wait? You know that as soon as you start with His biding you will see beauty. What happened to those that need help in the form of dinner every night?

Talking about His love and doing something with it are totally different things indeed. Seeing a need and not doing something about it is most sad and selfish. I know the nature of people very well. When people loose contact with others, they resort to things most comfortable (big, organized church comes to mind). If this attitude continues in Apex, Apex will be no more. Apex was known as the most service oriented community out there. Perhaps that was why so many people from around the nation were interested in us. We saw a need - be it food, work, or just getting together and beating the hell out of each other playing broom ball - it WAS met.

I am talking to you. Get off your butt and make a call and get together. It is so simple but we are lazy. Why do you think that you can’t do anything with out the permission of Greg, Jeremy or any of the other “leaders”? Go on…get!
